The Wildwood Jersey Shore pilot episode of Teen Videos concludes!

Part 3: The Wildwood Jersey Shore pilot episode of Teen Videos concludes! Up first, Jeff Fyke and Leslie Toplin host a segment featuring the rise of Miss New Jersey 1995, Heather Makris. Heather went on to become 2nd runner up in the Miss America pageant that year.

Next up, Rachael Fyke hosts a discussion segment with Father Joseph Mungari, featuring Teen Videos show regulars Megan Davis and Kate Rizzo. A viewer from Rome, NY writes in seeking advice after his parents have divorced. What should he do? Father Joe and company weigh in.

I guess this segment is pretty much the Leslie show, because next, Leslie bids Teen Videos farewell before she’s off to college! The program closes out with some more shout outs and of course, the show credits, featuring dancing and “down the shore” sights.

Before MTV discovered how great the Jersey Shore was, the Teen Videos crew was there having fun and dancing all the way back in 1994! For the first time on the web, enjoy classic clips of hosts Jeff Fyke, Rachael Fyke, and Jug E. Fresh, along with DJ Michael T. Foy and all the Teen Videos regulars. Also check out vintage footage of rides and amusements on and off the boardwalk in North Wildwood, New Jersey!

Does Jeff like Maria? Will Jug E. and Rach ever get together? Oh, and don't forget about the teen pledge!

Part 2: Back at the Jersey Shore, back in Wildwood, back in the day! Jug E. Fresh and Jeff Fyke host a Music Review segment and a Babyface club remix of “When Will I See You Again?” Enjoy plenty of dancing footage of old school regulars Kate, Sladjana, Leslie, Ed. and a pre-out of his shell Erik Johnson!

“Dear Teen Videos” is next. Rach, Jeff, and Jug E. read viewer letters from Michelle and Joanne. Does Jeff like Maria? Will Jug E. and Rach ever get together? Oh, and don’t forget about the teen pledge! Classic line from Melissa: “blood is thicker than a girlfriend!”

There’s also a quick message from who I believe may have been the mayor of North Wildwood at the time. He’s uncredited unfortunately, so it’s tough to say for sure! Maybe some of you out there can help with that mystery.

“Teen Videos” was the program that spawned In The Groove. Before MTV discovered how great the Jersey Shore was, the Teen Videos crew was there having fun and dancing all the way back in 1994!

“Teen Videos” was the program that spawned In The Groove. Many of the program’s participants were essentially the same. One of the key differences between the two programs were the taping locations. While In The Groove was recorded on the road at Bronko Bill’s/Bronko’s (and later Sportland in Langhore, PA), Teen Videos was recorded mostly at our TV studio in Northeast Philadelphia. Every now and then we’d hit the road for special episodes, just like this. Before MTV discovered how great the Jersey Shore was, the Teen Videos crew was there having fun and dancing all the way back in 1994!

Here in Part 1, you’ll see Jeff Fyke, Rachael Fyke, Jug E. Fresh (who later called himself Steve Bartell) of Philly’s Q102 radio, and Michael T. Foy (with no “Mr. DJ” nickname) right on the beach. You’ll also see show regulars Erik, Leslie, and Michelle, along with show friends Matt, Kirk, Kyle, Paul, and Kenny!

Enjoy classic clips of rides and amusements on and off the boardwalk in North Wildwood, New Jersey and these classic video of Teen Videos on the web for the very first time!

This brief bonus episode of Junk Mail Galaxy was recorded immediately after episode 6. It’s appropriately and jokingly titled “A Very Special Junk Mail Galaxy: Nathan White’s Early Years.” Do you have a quiet place in your heart for assembler, impact printers, or punch cards? If so, yes, there is something wrong with you, and yes, you must watch this episode. Music is from The Teenage Prayers, courtesy of the band at teenageprayers.com and myspace.com/theteenageprayers, as well as the Podsafe Music Network at music.podshow.com.

(Originally released Feb. 26, 2008) In this episode, we finally reveal the third host of Junk Mail Galaxy. You may have heard her voice in episode 001, but now, you’ll see the beauty that is… Gigi. Mike reports on New Hampshire’s bill HB-1506, which sought to create a “do not mail” list in that state. Nathan touches on the existence of a similar service from the DMA, called the Mail Preference Service (MPS), then sheds some light on the data processing procedure known as a “Merge/Purge.” Mike’s so-called “screw-up of the week” is from Bank of America, who offered him a New York Giants-themed credit card via email. Mike is a diehard Eagles fan. Nate delivers another callback to episode 001, as he shows off a mail piece from Columbia House proclaiming HIM “The Boss.” Scoreboard update: Mike ludicrous potential lawsuits 2, direct marketers 0. Through MySpace, all the way from Nigeria, a Ms. J.J. William wrote to us. Is it the delicious bottle of The Tanner’s Jack that possesses Mike to refer to Nigeria as “the country of scammers?” Maybe it’s the incredibly tasty bottle of Obolon that convinces Nate to call Mike a 300 pound hunchback. Shameless beer consumption abounds. The music featured in this episode is “Stalker” by Colin Macintyre, courtesy of the Podsafe Music Network at music.podshow.com and Colin Macintyre at http://www.colinmacintyre.com. As the song plays out the show, don’t miss fun pics and footage of Mike and his son Aidan at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, PA, where the boys recently viewed the Franklin’s exhibit “Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination.”

I was suddenly inspired to splice lots of the scenes together and put it all to music.

About six or seven years ago, I dug through some old VHS tapes and discovered lots of videos featuring my high school friends and my ex-girlfriend Jenn. As I watched the videos, of my buddies George and Marc with me at Jenn’s indoor guard competition, and me and my family with Jenn and her family at her house for the prom, I was suddenly inspired to splice lots of the scenes together and put it all to music. So, I once stayed up all night long to put this segment together out of pure inspiration and respect for my younger years.

This was part of what was then a larger project, a documentary-style compilation of my friends and I during those years. That’s why this video starts off with “a year and a half later.” I’ve picked up the video right where “Sister Christian” by Night Ranger kicks in. Totally beautiful.

Some of the folks in this video aren’t with us anymore. Many of the younger folks have families and children of their own now. I do not at all dwell in the past, but it sure is nice to check in on it now and again, to remember, and learn from it all.

Volume 1, Part 3: Rachael Fyke and Michelle Marciano demonstrate how to do what sounds like… the swank? Or is it the swenk? Michelle had her own dance studio in South Philly and came on out to the tapings at Bronko’s each week to demonstrate some new moves. The next segment is “What’s Up?” with Rachael, as she leads some discussion about what is most annoying about guys. The third segment in this clip is a line dance with Michael T. Foy on the wheels of steel. “Hey Mr. DJ” by Philly’s own Zhane can predominantly be heard throughout this segment. There’s plenty of dancing featuring Jeff, Rach, and Erik in these segments!
